Moms with Borderline Personality Disorder

IMG_3620

Another Borderline-related article of mine has just been published.  It is called “Moms with Borderline Personality Disorder”.  Read it here.

Many Borderlines have requested me to pull out my articles in the Internet.  It offends them greatly.  I do not blame them.  It is very intriguing to read my articles on Borderline Personality Disorder because I know it so much that I hit close to home.

People wonder what drives me to write a good amount of literature on Borderline Personality Disorder.  Am I Borderline?  Some Borderlines even suspect that my Ex-husband must have left me for a woman with Borderline Personality Disorder.  They ask me what experiences I have to do some armchair diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder.

Well, all I can say is I have witnessed what Borderline Personality Disorder can do to innocent children.  I was fortunate to have a mother who is not Borderline but I do not take pride in it by putting down “Borderlines” and offending them intentionally.  I just want to write what is “truth” for non-Borderlines.

Borderlines spend a great deal of time shooting arrows at me for my articles.  For each arrow they throw in, I write an article not to explain my side but to bring their illness in the open.  They accuse me for not having sympathy for the mentally ill.  So untrue.  In fact, my whole life is almost dedicated to helping people who were adversely affected by Borderline Personality Disorder to heal.  For it is difficult to fight, tooth for tooth with a person who does not think anything is wrong with them.  I’d rather use my “keyboard” to enlighten people who are falling in love with women that has the characteristics of Borderline Personality Disorder.   How can an innocent love turn out to be so much damage and trauma?  This is the case, sad to say, with many family situations involving Borderline Personality Disorder.  Children’s lives are damaged.  Children do not have a chance to see what “normalcy” looks like because the spouses’s energies are exhausted in helping their Borderline wife.  The attention that the children need is just naturally taken as a second priority.  Children do not have the “courage” to fight back even if they wanted to.

Yes, I take the arrows as part of my day.  But, you know if I can help one person who loves a Borderline to validate his current life with a Borderline and  help him act to save his children, I think the “arrows” are worth it.

So, do not take this for granted.  If you are Borderline and you honestly think you are an excellent mother, then you are on the right track of healing.  Do not let me say “yeah right?”   Action speaks louder than words.  If you are good mother, be a good mother.  You do not have to prove it to the world.  All you have to do is prove it to your children.

I write “fearlessly about the truth”.  If it offends someone, it offends someone.  It is as simple as that.  Nothing complicated. Makes sense?

Borderlines Like to Swear and Curse

Any person who easily swears and curse has a lack of emotional regulation.  Stress triggers a response that is in the form of cursing and swearing.

Mary is the epitome of a peaceful woman. Bless those who curse you.

Mary is the epitome of a peaceful woman. Bless those who curse you.

So, if you are in the habit of swearing and cursing, you need to find a positive way to divert your irritation.  You cannot allow yourself to swear.  Not all people swear.  Thus, not all people can stomach foul languages and profanities.  If you swear or curse, please know that there is something in your past that is giving you some emotional pain and you are using “swearing” to spit it off to someone else.  You feel emotional pain and you think it is ok to let another person get a glimpse of your pain too.  It is a very immature way.  You need to learn to communicate. You need to “use words” to tell the world that you disagree with their thoughts.  You cannot force them to change though.  But, you can at least put your irritation to words that will not cause provocation but mutual understanding.

My comment box in my articles are filled with “curses” from Borderlines who cannot help themselves from reacting to my articles on Borderline Personality Disorder.  However, their curses show my readers how Borderlines’ emotions can lead them to  cross the boundaries of decency.  Their curses sound “evil”.  However, I do not get offended nor take it personally.  They are wrong to believe that I am the cause of their emotional pain.  Their emotional pain is a result of their BPD diagnosis.  Any emotional healthy person can see my stance on Borderline Personality Disorder.  It not about bitterness.  I am not Borderline nor do I have a spouse who is Borderline, nor did I have an Ex that left me for a Borderline.   I am just a writer recounting the lives of traumatized children of Borderline parents.

Borderlines think they can get a “BPD” pass to justify what they do to children.  I repeat ”  I write articles on Borderline Personality Disorder to give a voice to children who is often taken for granted when spouses cannot handle their Borderline family members.  However, Borderlines refuse to accept that fact.  They go into an emotional rage while reading my articles.  First, my articles stir up emotions.  It is not on the side of Borderlines.  Thus, it is perceived as painting them as “evil”.  Actually, I am painting them as a  person that needs healing. I am cautioning the world or those who do not know Borderline Personality Disorder that they are not dealing with a simple case of a mentally ill person.  You are dealing with an illness that needs understanding.  However, in trying to gain knowledge about this disorder, one must not forget that there is a huge risk involved.  And anyone who takes the risk to help a Borderline must be equipped with the right tools else, you risk losing yourself and making your children suffer a trauma.

If you curse, please find ways to de-stress.  We, non-violent creatures of this planet, deserve a peaceful, curse-free environment.

STEM CELL RESEARCH : What is the real issue?

IMG_3644

After hearing Father Ted of the National Catholic Bioethics Center talked at the 2009 Eucharistic Congress at the Charlotte Convention, I could not rest until I write an article on this issue.  Initially, I wanted to write about “Embryonic Adoptions”, adopting embryos for In vitro fertilization (IVF).  However, my research brought me to weave through the basic issue in using embryos for stem-cell research.  As a Catholic, it is easy for me to see how life begins at conception.  But, if  I am an atheist and scientist at the same time,  my ultimate goal will be to advance my knowledge and remove all barriers in seeking the information I need for my researc.

I cannot sympathize enough for Michael J. Fox on his determination to promote stem cell research to help him discover possible cures for Parkinson’s Disease.  My father has Parkinson’s Disease.  It is very sad to see him deteriorate every single day.  Yet, I will not condone a “prescription” that will guarantee to cure his Parkinson’s Disease if it means the lives of the “unborn humanity”.  It does not justify the cure if another segment of the human race will be wasted.

It is for this reason that I wrote the article:

Stem Cell Research: What Every American Must Know

The Main Issue that Americans Disagree with Each Other on Stem Cell Research

I will inform you when this article gets published.

Eucharistic Congress in Charlotte, NC – Check it out.

Last year, we had a wonderful experience at the Eucharistic Congress organized by The Charlotte Catholic Diocese.  Our children were unable to join the children, middle school and high school tracks.  This year, I made sure that the children were registered ahead of time.

The Eucharistic Congress is a two-day event that will start tonight at 7 pm.  There will be Sacred Music and then a Talk on the Rwanda Genocide.  Then, the nocturnal adoration begins.

Check out our photos last year.

How to Spot a Borderline Before They Spot You?

IMG_0463

This article is the one that get the most page views. Read it here:  ”How to Spot a Girl With Borderline Personality Disorder”.   This article is very intriguing to many Borderlines that I have received many “hate” comments from people suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder.    Many Borderlines accuse me of being ignorant about the disorder.  I do not understand how recounting the personal experiences of people who have loved a girl with Borderline Personality disorder is not a fact.  Borderlines also argue that the article is very offensive.  Of course, it will be I wrote it for non-Borderlines.  Thus, it is not  directed for Borderlines.  The article is to warn those in relationships with Borderline that there is a pattern to a Borderline’s behavior.  Truth hurts.  If you are not ready for truth, then do not read this article.
