Mrs. Treasures is…
( The Most Updated Version of Mrs. Treasures can be found at her new website at www.mrstreasures.com. Her latest website on her experiences in homeschooling is called “Study at Home with Joy, Getting a College Degree at Home).
Mrs. Treasures is an economist by profession, a pianist by occupation and a passionate Catholic homeschooling Mom.. She has a strong interest in behavioral economics or the study why people make choices that are not in their best interests. Mrs. Treasures approaches life picking up “life gems” along her way – wisdom she can only give back for others to use. A special kind of thinker, genetically programmed to explore everything that interests her, Mrs. Treasures’ gently brings her readers to the bottom line and the real deal—Truth. A professional commercial intelligence analyst, she was hired to write product/market studies in the following countries: Germany, France, Denmark,UK, Switzerland, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia,New Zealand, Philippines, Canada, Hong Kong. A writer, not by intent, but by God’s will, her primary vocation is her family.
In a nutshell, Mrs. Treasures simply wants to be known as: a mother of 9, happily married and a joyful Catholic.
Mrs. Treasures feels …
“Raising a blended family is a “call” from God. I almost rejected God’s offer. I was scared of the implicit sacrifices of raising a large family. I deserve a better life. Period. But, what made me make a 360 degree turn in my way of thinking?
It was God’s special prompting. He let me know without doubt of the privilege that He has allowed me to prepare my entry to eternal life. To raise children not of my own, love them, sacrifice for them and nurture their souls so they can be men and women for God. It is a special mission designed by God for me.
All I have to do is to remember that whatever I need to carry out this mission will depend so much on the graces that He will bestow on me. For I am nothing without Him. These children souls are more important to Him than finding solutions to their temporal needs. God will provide for us. He will take care of their shortcomings. All He wants me to do is to nurture these children so their souls will be led to Him.
For He said to me, “They are precious souls.”
Update:
I wrote the above in 2007, after a discernment while adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. I am moved to tears each time I read it for that illumination is a special moment between Jesus and me. He has been true to His promise to me, to shower me with the necessary graces to overcome all sufferings typical in raising children in a blended family. Jesus gave me a spiritual director to guide me in my daily walk. Jesus gave me the gift of conversion with our children who were lost. Jesus gave me two sons at the moment who are discerning their priestly vocations. Now, I am a witness that Christ heals all family wounds. He fixes what is broken. He makes up for what was lost. He gives you what you lack. There is nothing impossible for Him. It is always a win-win situation when you offer your family and your specific problems to our Lord. His Divine plan surpasses the “original rocket scientist plan” that you have made up.
Mrs. Treasures message to her children…
Thank you my children for being like the way you all are… you made my life different. You made my journey to God more meaningful. For you truly made me see a glimpse of Our Heavenly Father. Only I did not see quickly what wonderful things I can learn from this trek with you. I thought you guys OWE me the time I was giving you, the effort and patience I am extending. You know what? I am so wrong. I OWE you this new found wisdom and I am indebted to all of you. I did not understand before that my prescriptions for your healing are all man-made and without lasting effects. I valued expert’s opinion over my God. God is the ultimate Divine Healer. Gosh… how could I have missed that?
Mrs. Treasures in Person …
It is always nice to put a face to an online person. To know me is to know my husband, the special person who walks the same road with me – bringing our children to God. My husband is a songwriter and a vocalist. He wrote me this special song “Knowing I Love You”, words that depict our journey together in the last past five years. His Love is my consolation from God.

I believe that each piano skill mastered has an equivalent life skills being harnessed. I attribute my educational success and excellent work ethics to the discipline that piano learning has instilled in me.

I like to blend Classical styles with popular songs. Below is a sample of blending Bach’s Three-Part Inventions with the Theme from the Love Story.
The following piano piece is the favorite of everyone including my parents
Check out my latest practice session of Arabesque No. 1 by Debussy. I don’t got enough time to practice as I used to… I normally practiced 6 hours a day in my youth. Thus, my neighbors in my hometown can attest listening to me until the wee hours of the mornings.

Wow! You have done amazing things with your life! I cannot imagine how you balance parenthood with all of the very important work you have done! You are truly an amazing person!
Thank you. I wish God sees me as amazing too.
very nicely done article, thank you.
Thank you for your kind words.
Beautiful blog!
WOW…Is the only word that describes your blog! You are truely an amazing woman! I am just soooo amazed at how you can adopt all those children, work, and find time for yourself! and not be the least bit selfish? I come from a very disfunctional family, not my current family(my husband and kids are amazing:-) but, somethings that a family does to you really hurts, and you have managed to be totally selfless in the whole thing! I hope I can only be half of what you are! Keep up the good work, and I sooo love your blog! I took piano in high school, and fell in love with it! It was a way for me to block out “reality?” I could sit at the piano for hours! I am really trying to learn piano again, just because I love it so much. it’s so relaxing! and you feel so accomplished when you learn a piece! But, thank you so much for your blog! Very encouraging!!
