Raising a blended family is a “call” from God. I almost rejected God’s offer. I was scared of the implicit sacrifices of raising a large family. I deserve a better life. Period. But, what made me make a 360 degree turn in my way of thinking? It was God’s special prompting. He let me know without doubt of the privilege that he has allowed me to prepare my entry to eternal life. To raise children not of your own, love them, sacrifice for them and nurture their souls so they can be men and women for God? It is a special mission designed by God for me. All I have to do is to remember that whatever I need to carry out this mission will depend so much on the graces that He will bestow on me. For I am nothing without Him. These children’s souls are more important to Him than finding solutions to their temporal needs. God will provide for us. He will take care of their shortcomings. All He wants me to do is to nurture these children so their souls will be led to Him. For He said, “They are precious souls.”
MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have bachelor and graduate degrees in Economics. My accomplishment: In College, I ranked 5 in our graduating class.
My Music Education and Background
I also have Conservatory of Music level studies in Piano Performance. I started choir directing at the age of 12. To be more involved in raising my kids, I started to teach piano lessons in 2002-2005. My music philosophy is “piano skills translate to life skills”. I believe that each piano skill mastered has an equivalent life skills being harnessed. I attribute my educational success and excellent work ethics to the discipline that piano learning has instilled in me.
To learn about my piano practice, visit my new blog in South Charlotte called “JOY IN PIANO”.
I like to blend Classical styles with popular songs. Below is a sample of blending Bach’s Three-Part Inventions with the Theme from the Love Story.

My husband is a Project Manager at an architectural woodworking firm in Charlotte, NC. He works very hard for our family. He is the best husband a woman can ever have. I think he is a Renaissance man. He is an artist and a songwriter with 3 music CD albums released. He used to be part of Midnight Tea in Minnesota. Here is a sample of his original music clip entitled “Wishing. It was used for the soundtrack of the movie “Don’t Turn Back“, a film used on World Youth Day 2002.
